Final Fantasy

This past week has been mostly me finally beating Tales of Berseria and then diving into a bunch of Switch games. I knew I'd have some crazy times where I couldn't play much, but that didn't stop me from playing a little Final Fantasy IX this week. I might not have played much, but I'm still happy and am loving this replay.

If you want to catch up on my prior pieces, here's a link to last week's Issue 8.

Final Fantasy IX (PSP, PS1 Classic)

Last week, I was exploring Lindblum and taking my time doing random junk before starting the Festival of the Hunt. After sneaking my way past some guards to meet up with Dagger, I finally started up the Hunt...and I didn't remember this at all. I also didn't have a clue what the ideal path through this would be, but that's fine because I just wanted to experience it naturally without a guide. After exploring all three areas, I realized that I had not done so thoroughly, as it wasn't until the last minute or so that I found the boss and had Freya join me. This was sad, because I entered it at the final moments and then watched the loading screen drag on before time ran out. No cool items for me, but at least Freya won the Hunt, because I'd rather have her item than what Zidane or Vivi asked for. I paused it there for now, so please look forward to my next adventure.
