Kadokawa Games and NIS America have announced delays to the worldwide release of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita tactical RPG God Wars: Future Past. Previously set for release at the end of March 2017 in North America and Europe and April 2017 in Japan, the game will now be released first in Europe on June 16, 2017, before coming to North America a few days later on June 20, 2017, and then in Japan on June 22, 2017. The reason given for the delay is to allow for additional development and balancing.
God Wars: Future Past is heavily inspired by Japanese mythology. The game follows Kaguya, a girl imprisoned to be sacrificed at the base of mount Fuji by her mother, Tsukuyomi. It features a job system that gives characters a weapon-based Main Job, a Sub Job that grants extra skills, and a special Unique Job.
