XSEED Games announced that Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns will be released in North America on February 28, 2017. The game will be available physically and digitally for Nintendo 3DS for $39.99, with physical pre-orders receiving a 3.5" capybara plush at participating retailers while supplies last.

Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns is the latest title in Marvelous' long-running Bokujo Monogatari farming sim series. The game puts players in a homestead located between three distinct villages, with each village providing its own set of crops, eligible bachelors and bachelorettes, animals, festivals, and decorative styles. Its North American release will also come with four Super Mario Bros. themed character costumes and headgear based on Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad.
