Sega of America recently announced the date for its upcoming release in North America of 7th Dragon III Code: VFD for Nintendo 3DS. The game will be available on July 12, 2016, both physically and digitally for $39.99/CDN$54.99. Those who pre-order the physical edition or pick up a launch copy will receive a limited edition copy of the game, including a 28-page artbook with character and class designs in a special collector's box.

7th Dragon III is the fourth 7th Dragon game and the first to be released outside of Japan. The game's story is standalone and sees players travelling to three points in time — ancient Atlantis, present-day Tokyo, and future Eden — in an attempt to defeat the dragons that have taken over the world.
