Sega has announced that the release date for Valkyria Chronicles Remastered will be May 17, 2016, for both North America and Europe. The game will be available in physical and digital formats on the PlayStation 4. With this announcement comes an English version of one of the game's prior Japanese trailers, this time focusing on the game's unique tactical combat.

North Americans who pick up the physical edition will, for a limited time, recieve a metal case for the game depicting Squad 7. Europeans will instead receive the Europa Edition, which comes with a double-sided poster and 32-page art book titled The Art of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered.All first run copies of the game in Europe will be the Europa Edition. The game is currently priced at $29.99/CA$44.99 though no price has yet been specified for the European release.
