Japanese developer and publisher Experience Inc., creator of dungeon-crawling RPGs such as Demon Gaze and Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy, announced that it is planning to release Stranger of Sword City for Xbox One in North America. The Xbox One version is being self-published by Experience and will come out on the console on March 22, 2016, the same day as NIS America plans to release the PlayStation Vita version in the region.
Stranger of Sword City sees players arriving in the world of Escaria following a plane crash. Escaria has three predominant factions: The Strangers Guild, the shifty Mendell Co., and the stalwart Kingdom. Each of the factions will change which allies and abilities become available and general story progression. Experience now has its own North American corporate website, with a teaser website for its Xbox One release of Stranger of Sword City now available ahead of a full website launch on January 24, 2016.
