Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim

XSEED Games has announced that it is adding more Japanese titles to the PC. The two titles in question are Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim and Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed.

Ys VI, previously only available on the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable, marked a revival for the series, laying the foundation for Ys: The Oath in Felghana and Ys Origin. The PC version will have high resolution graphics and controller support, widescreen support, and the ability to warp between checkpoints. The release also includes a new "Catastrophe" mode, which prevents the storing or purchasing of health items, instead forcing them to be used immediately when picked up.

Akiba's Trip is a beat'em up that takes place in Tokyo's Akihabara district, where the vampire-like "Synthisters" have begun preying on the populace. Players must strip down the Synthisters so that they can be killed by direct sunlight. Orignally released on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and later the PlayStation 4, the new Steam release will include achievements and controller support, as well as the Visual Editor mode from the PlayStation 4 release. The Visual Editor allows the player to change the visuals of the game using preset filters or custom-made ones.

XSEED says both games will launch this Spring worldwide. Ys VI will be available on Steam, gog.com, and Humble Bundle while Akiba's Trip will only be available on Steam. No price has been set for either title.
