Some new details have emerged regarding the revival of the Langrisser series, which is seen as the spiritual predecessor to Growlanser. Masaya Games' Nintendo 3DS title, which was revealed earlier this year, now has a title — Langrisser Re:Incarnation — with its Japanese release also now set for July 2015.

Langrisser Re:Incarnation is a strategic RPG, and has a number of features familiar to series veterans, such as special traits and hidden stages. The game's story is said to feature three armies vying for power, with the main protagonist heading a group of mercenaries while searching for their younger sister. Player choices will affect how the story branches, and the game will have multiple endings. Players are said to be able to get love confessions from twenty-eight characters by working to that character's event, with those characters who have confessed appearing in the game's ending.
