The release date for Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, the MMORPG's first full expansion, has now been revealed. Heavensward will be officially launched on June 23, 2015, with early access for pre-orders starting on June 19, 2015. Pre-orders for the expansion will open up on March 16, 2015.

It has also been revealed that Final Fantasy XIV and Heavensward will be released on Mac as well as PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. The Mac release of the game will occur on the same date as that of the Heavensward expansion.

Heavensward adds a number of new large areas, flying mounts, three new jobs, a new character race, and more. Square Enix released a video showing some of the new locations in the game, which can be viewed below.
