Nintendo has announced the the third game in the Fossil Fighters series, Fossil Fighters: Frontier, will be released in North America for Nintendo 3DS on March 20, 2015. The game, which was released in Japan in 2014 under the title Fossil Fighters: Infinite Gear, is developed by Red Entertainment and Spike Chunsoft.

Fossil Fighters: Frontier sees players drive vehicles around the game world in search of fossils that can be transformed into Vivosaurs. Players can then use their Vivosaurs to do battle against wild Vivosaurs or those found by others. The game features online multiplayer between two players, with local multiplayer for up to six. Fossil Fighters: Frontier will also be released in Europe at some point in 2015.
