NIS has a new, six-minute trailer for Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance. While in Japanese, the trailer focuses on Squad mechanics as well as providing a long list of new information.

Leading this list is the reveal of the new character Liezerota, a girl who seems to have a history with the protagonist Killia that no one can quite figure out. As far as new game details are concerned, the Item World, a multi-stage battle map used to power up items and equipment, makes its return. Disgaea 5 will also feature the Chara World (As it appears in Disgaea 4), which serves a similar purpose but for characters instead. Rather than taking place on a multi-stage battle map, the Chara World will play more like a board game with a different board for each species.

On the topic of species, five new classes were revealed for the game. The Sage hits 10% harder for each target in its attack. The Wrestler can use the free throw action as long as they don't move during the turn. The Hare is a little furry thing that deals 30% more damage when at a higher elevation. The Dragon Pair is a two-headed dragon that can attack twice per turn when it doesn't move. Finally, the Rider is a mounted demon that decreases physical attacks against it by 50%.

Disgaea 5 is due out in Japan on March 26, 2015. It will release in North America and Europe sometime in Fall 2015 exclusively on PlayStation 4.
