Nintendo posted a special Nintendo Direct video for Pokémon this morning. After a brief history lesson, the next generation of Pokémon games was announced.

Pokémon X/Y will be exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS and feature a major graphical upgrade for the series. In a Pokémon first, there will be a simultaneous global release in October 2013.
