Diablo III

Blizzard recently announced that the Player-vs-Player Arena system will not be ready for Diablo III's launch. According to Diablo III's lead game designer, Jay Wilson, the reason for cutting the PvP Arena system is because the mode does not hold up to Blizzard's standards. Rather than delay the game even further, they decided instead to release the mode in a patch after the game's launch. This patch will add a variety of Arena maps, achievements, a matchmaking system, and a personal progression system. According to Jay Wilson, the Arenas will still be "as brutal, bloody, fast-paced, and awesome as we know they can be."

Another sign of Diablo III's impending release comes from Jay Wilson's twitter feed. He recently tweeted, " What is currently in the beta is what we intend for ship, but we’re still tuning and things can change.” However, there is still no official release date for Diablo III.
