In a surprising move, Nintendo has just announced that the traditional third entry in the Pokémon fifth generation will be a set of sequels instead of a single game with a different colour name. Pokémon Black/White 2 will be coming out this fall in North America and Europe. The sequels will be for the Nintendo DS, but of course can be played in 2D mode on the 3DS as well.

While Pokémon Black/White starred the legendaries Reshiram and Zekrom, the sequels will star a third legendary Pokémon, Kyurem, who will have a black and white form. Though we don't know which colour will go with which version, it's likely that Black Kyurem will be in Pokémon White 2, while White Kyurem will be in Pokémon Black 2.
