This week, Square Enix revealed more information about Final Fantasy III for iOS devices. This is an enhanced version of the 2006 DS remake. Famitsu reports that, just like the DS remake, Final Fantasy III on iOS devices will be in full 3D. Other changes to the game include high resolution graphics for iOS devices, high quality sound, and an easy to use monster viewer gallery. The monster viewer gallery will also have redesigned monster cards. As for the control system, there will be a virtual d-pad that appears where ever you touch the screen and you can tap to select and attack enemies.

The game is set for a Japanese release some time in March. No word yet on release dates for other territories or on a price point.
