Square Enix has announced that Dungeon Siege III will be released in North America on May 31, 2011. Developed by Obsidian and Gas Powered Games, players can experience a highly in depth action-RPG in high-definition. The game is set to release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.

Players can assume the role of one of four heroes, fighting for the sake of their fallen comrades to restore the land of Ehb. Conflict is constant and decisions will have lasting consequences. There is a co-op mode that will allow RPGamers to pair up and take on devastating enemies together. The co-op also features seamless drop-in combat without interrupting the flow of the current campaign.

Certain retailers are offering different bonus for those who pre-order. GameStop is offering two exclusive in-game items, one of which is the Burning Band of Scorch, a ring that can increase the raw damage of the player's attacks while setting enemies ablaze. The second item is the Talisman of the Grand Mage, a necklace that can reduce incoming damage and grants the ability to perform a mystical attack that hits enemies in close range.

Those who pre-order from Steam will receive copies of Dungeon Siege I and II as gifts. Amazon pre-orders give players a ring called the Bite of the Arakun, which poisons enemies. Best Buy will be offering an in-game amulet titled the Sacred Heart of the Legion, which increases the player's health and pushes close combat assailants back each time the bearer is hit in battle. Finally, Wal-Mart is offering a free mini comic and strategy guide for those who pre-order.
