With the release of the 3DS coming soon, Nintendo is busy promoting its early titles for the device. Of interest to RPG fans are Paper Mario 3D and the 3D port of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

There isn't much new information about Paper Mario 3D, so all we really know is that the combat will be a turn-based system with timed button presses like the first two games in the series. Here are some new screens, featuring the shocking fact that there will be an ice area and a fire area in a Mario game.

Nintendo has a lot more to say about Ocarina of Time. Here's how their press release answers the question, "Why should I buy Ocarina of Time again?":

"The graphical upgrades and three-dimensional depth breathe new life into the expansive world of Hyrule. An improved and intuitive interface, coupled with the easier navigation offered by playing in a world with 3D visuals, give players better control as they solve puzzles, travel through time and explore this immersive world."

Of particular interest is that the inventory will be controlled via the touch screen, making item swapping quick and easy. Players will also be able to enter an "FPS" mode, using the gyro sensor to aim at enemies in the first-person view.

The Nintendo 3DS will be released in North America on March 27th. It will sold at $250.00 MSRP and will come in Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black. There will be over thirty titles released within the console's launch window. It also has a number of built-in features such as a pedometer, a Mii-maker that creates a Mii based on a picture taken with its camera, and enhanced Internet browsing, video playing, and music playing software.
