While tidbits of information about The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings have been kicking around the Internet for a while, developer CD Projekt RED is beginning to release official information about the game, which is tentatively expected to release for the PC in Q1 2011.

The Witcher 2 continues the adventures of Geralt of Rivia, picking up after he defeated the mysterious Order in the first Witcher game. A new threat has arisen in the Northern Kingdoms, which is introduced in the exclusive trailer found on Gametrailers.com. CD Project has stated that they will be officially presenting the game to the press later this month, possibly revealing whether The Witcher 2 will be available on any console systems.
