On March 8, 2010, Square Enix's classic Final Fantasy II made its way to Virtual Console. The game costs 800 Wii Points, and is rated E by the ESRB.
Originally released in 1991 on the Super Nintendo, Final Fantasy II is actually the fourth game in Square's long-running franchise. Players take on the role of Cecil, a dark knight who embarks on a journey full of trials and tribulations over the changes his monarch has recently displayed. Aside from this original Super Nintendo version, the game has also been re-released in numerous other incarnations with Final Fantasy IV Advance, Final Fantasy Chronicles, and Final Fantasy IV DS.
