As scheduled, Bethesda released The Pitt today, the second downloadable expansion pack for the Xbox 360 and PC versions of Fallout 3. The release was not as smooth as expected, with many Xbox 360 Pitt purchasers reporting problems including strange exclamation points appearing in mid-air, textures missing, and freezing.

Currently, these bugs seem to be plaguing only the Xbox 360 version of The Pitt. Bethesda has temporarily removed it from the Xbox Live Marketplace, but the expansion appears to still be available for download through Games for Windows Live. A Bethesda staff member posted at the Bethesda Blog that a file in the English version was likely corrupted somehow and a fixed version will be posted as soon as possible.
