Just last week, Square Enix revealed that The Last Remnant would be its first title released through Steam. Now, would-be players can try out the game's demo through FilePlanet or directly through Steam, itself.
The upgrades to the game include:
- Turbo Mode: Allows battles to be played twice as quickly as on the Xbox 360
- No more leader units: Allows for a larger range of freedom in creating unions
- Equipment preview: Allows the player to see what changes equipment brings before purchase
- English/Japanese: Allows players to choose between English and Japanese voices during gameplay
This title has a suggested retail price of $39.99 and been rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB. The Windows version of the game still allows for the use of a controller, will ship to retail stores on March 24, and will be available on Steam on April 9.
