Modern day espionage is coming to the RPG genre with SEGA and Obsidian Entertainment's Alpha Protocol to be released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. Michael Thorton, alienated by his own government, is a young talented agent who is the only one with the information required to stop an imminent international disaster. In order to complete his mission, he must cut off all relations with the people he has sworn to protect.

Like Obsidian Entertainment's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, players will be able to determine how to complete their objectives in a non-linear fashion. The different actions and decisions players make will influence the type of secret agent Michael Thorton will become.

Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian Entertainment, is excited to deliver this RPG experience that will blend "Obsidian's knack for intricate stories, engrossing characters, and significant character advancement with fast-paced modern combat." Alpha Protocol is set for a release sometime in 2009.
