Bethesda Softworks intends to release the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 versions of Fallout 3 on the same date, according to the game's executive producer, Todd Howard. This should come as welcome news to those who recall the one-year delay that befell the PS3 version of Bethesda's popular RPG, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Fallout 3 is an action RPG set in a post-apocalyptic United States and takes place 200 years after a nuclear holocaust. Players will take on the role of a Vault 101 member who leaves the safety of the vault in order to search for his missing father. While no official release date has been set, gamers can expect Fallout 3 to ship late 2008.
