On March 10, 2008, fans of the 2007 hit RPG Mass Effect will be able to download Bring Down the Sky from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. For 400 Microsoft points, the downloadable content pack is the first in a series of planned downloadable content aimed at expanding the Mass Effect universe and continuing the adventures of the Normandy crew.

With approximately 90 minutes of added gameplay and new Achievements worth 50 Gamerscore points, Bring Down the Sky will include a new world and will showcase the Batarians, an alien race introduced in the novel Mass Effect: Revelation by Drew Karpyshyn. As Commander Shepard, players will need to travel to the Asgard system to stop a mobile asteroid station from colliding with the nearby colony on Terra Nova. As of yet, it is not known whether the content will be similar to other missions in Mass Effect or similar to the uncharted world quests.
