Bethesda Softworks has made the announcement that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the PlayStation 3 has begun shipping to retailers across North America. Consumers should be able to find the game on shelves as early as today.

Originally released for the PC and Xbox 360 systems last March, Oblivion has received numerous awards and acclamations throughout the world. Oblivion features free-form gameplay, an incredibly huge world to explore, an engaging storyline, top of the line graphics, and a stellar voice cast including the voices of Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, Terrance Stamp, and Lynda Carter.
