Sony confirmed last week that its PS3 console will be hitting shelves in PAL territories in March. The console will launch in Europe and Australia on March 28.
Accompanying this announcement was pricing information for each of those three territories. EU gamers will fork over €599, Britons can expect to pay £425, and anyone in Australia looking for a new PS3 will be parting with AU$999.
Since its North American and Japanese launches, the PS3 has been met with tepid interest, and has thus far lagged behind Microsoft's and Nintendo's offerings in the latest round of the console wars. Only time will tell whether the European launch will change this trend.
