Balthier, a sky pirate of Final Fantasy XII fame, will be joining the cast of the upcoming Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lions War. How he will be making the jump is unclear, but he will be a "freelancer" specializing in machines. Though the two games take place at different times in the history of Ivalice, it should be noted that Cloud and Aeris appeared in the original Final Fantasy Tactics, and they are from an entirely different world.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lions War is an updated port of the original game that hit the PlayStation on January 28th, 1998. Currently there is no release date for either side of the Pacific for the PSP game.
