Tao’s Adventure: Curse of the Demon Seal for the Nintendo DS has been given an official release date for North America. Released in Japan as Tao: Mamono no Tou to Mahou no Tamago by Konami, the game follows the adventures of Tao, a young student of magic attempting to master the Magical Arts.
The game tells the story of the Demon Seal, which is found in a faraway tower, and how ferocious hordes of ancient monsters are released when the seal is broken. In Tao’s village of Bente Island, a powerful monster curses the townspeople, including Tao’s family, and turns them all into stone. In order to destroy the curse and save his family, Tao must find a way to master the art of magic and to repair the Demon Seal.
Also promised is an elemental magic system that makes use of the DS touch pad, side quests to raise a player’s reputation, and eggs to collect. Players can also train monsters to help them in battle, or to trade with other players.
Tao’s Adventure: Curse of the Demon Seal is scheduled for release in March 2006.
