Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Square Enix and Disney's Game Boy Advance title Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories has been met with some high sales figures. So high, in fact, that Square Enix proudly announced yesterday that the game has shipped one million units worldwide. Combined with the shipments of the PlayStation 2's Kingdom Hearts, over five million games in the Kingdom Hearts franchise have been shipped.

Yoichi Wada, president, Square Enix Co., Ltd., said, "...We are extremely pleased that GBA players and Kingdom Hearts fans have embraced this title. We will continue to strive toward polymorphic content in other projects that take place across platforms and hope that they will be as warmly received." Graham Hopper, senior vice president and general manager, Buena Vista Games, Inc., observed, "Reaching this milestone for Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is a powerful demonstration of the strength of the Kingdom Hearts franchise."

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories was released in Japan last Novemeber, followed by North America in December, and will see a European release later this year. Those unfamiliar with this series can educate themselves by looking at RPGamer's coverage as well as the official Kingdom Hearts website.
