At yesterday's Game Developer Conference, Zelda mastermind Eiji Aonuma revealed the next Legend of Zelda title in his presentation. Tentatively titled Wind Waker 2, the game in is development for the GameCube. No other details are known, but more will be revealed at this year's E3. In addition, Aonuma mentioned that Nintendo is considering bringing the series to its upcoming DS handheld.

Zelda fans can look forward to another title as well. Nintendo announced that Legend of Zelda: Four Swords+ is headed to North American GameCubes under a new alias, Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure. The game will hit stores on June 7 with a price tag of $49.99, and it includes a GBA link cable. Solitary types can play the game with a GameCube control pad, but GBA link cables allow other players to join in fun. By using GBAs, players can team up in the Hyrule Adventure mode to rescue seven maidens and banish Ganon from the land. The Japanese version of Four Swords included a competitive fighting versus mode called Shadow Battle and a treasure-hunting minigame known as Tetra's Trackers. Even though Tetra's Trackers was exhibited at last year's E3, it is not known if it will be included in the North American version of Four Swords, due to localization issues.
