After facing multiple delays, the highly-anticipated Xbox title Fable faces a crucial cutback. Lionhead Studios recently updated its Fable FAQ with the dire announcement that the planned multiplayer component has been cut from the game.
The official excuse is that programming a top-notch multiplayer mode is too time-consuming. Instead of including a sub-par multiplayer system, the developers opted to eliminate it entirely. They intend to focus their energy on "fine-tuning the single-player experience to ensure it is of the highest quality."
The FAQ also includes a vague reference to something called "the sandgoose." No further information was offered, thus leaving readers to speculate and wait patiently for the release of this elusive title.
