Expansion for Ultima Online in the Works

Electronic Arts announced the development of an as-of-yet unnamed expansion to their hit MMORPG Ultima Online today, promising new goodies for its patrons worldwide. Featured will be a new Asian-inspired region, with all that implies, as well as some touch-ups to the battle system that should make human vs. human engagements much cleaner, dubbed the "unified player vs. player" system by EA. Also, two new professions will be available - one which features staight-up physical prowess, and one which features a combination of stealth and magical abilities.

Says producer Anthony Castoro, "We are constantly improving Ultima Online by paying attention to our players' wishes. Feedback from our large international player base helped us determine priorities for this expansion, including new world content and a unified player vs. player system."
