Interplay, Vivendi Universal Form Another Dark Alliance

Interplay and Vivendi Universal recently announced that the sequel to Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is in the works. Black Isle Studios will be at the development helm once again to bring the game to life through 3D graphics and third edition Dungeons and Dragons rules.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II will take place in the Forgotten Realms, just like its predecessor, where the player must once again face the dark forces that threaten the balance of the area. Five new customizable characters will be available, along with hidden areas, item creation, and more monsters.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II will be available in the fourth quarter of 2003 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
