NEC Interchannel Sets Up Shop in North America Again

The makers of the Turbo Grafix 16 console have returned to the North American software market with an announcement today that the company will be publishing titles for consoles and handhelds across the board. Currently, the company's only confirmed title is Tube Slider, a futuristic racing game, but NEC Interchannel has been making a mark in Japan's RPG market for some time now, notably with the popular Black Matrix series, which currently contains a title under development for the PlayStation.

Whether or not this will result in Black Matrix 00, the PlayStation title, making it to North America is uncertain, but the re-emergence of what was once a fairly powerful player in this market certainly improves the chances of seeing the title here one day. RPGamer will continue to follow this story if and when new developments occur.
