Developer Asmik, whose impressive pedigree includes such titles as Paladin's Quest, has announced it will shortly be releasing its first stab at GameCube development, Dokapon DX. The game, sequel to a Game Boy Advance title of approximately the same name (less the DX), has been slated for Japanese release on the tenth of April.
The original Dokapon featured an engaging, if simplistic, mix of gameplay and acquisitiveness, with random maps, encounters, and drops. The GameCube offering will feature more of the same, with more in-depth dungeons and a wide array of puzzles and mini-games to keep players sufficiently occupied.
It is worth noting that the Game Boy Advance title made it to North America; it remains to be seen if the GameCube sequel will follow suit. No pricing information has been revealed, although it seems likely the game will fall into the normal price range for GameCube titles.
