According to a recent issue of the Japanese magazine GameLabo, Square and Enix are facing yet another hurdle on the road to merged bliss.

Back when the merger was still in the planning stages, only the executives were informed of the deal, leaving the rest of the employees in the dark. As a result, some game designers haven't given their approval, and are considering striking out on their own in the world of game development.
