Blackthorn's Revenge Not Far Away
Ultima Online

Ultima Online fans disappointed with Third Dawn and the cancellation of Ultima Online 2 have an expansion pack to quell their thirst for adventure. Featuring both the return of the virtues, which played a major role in the single-player games from Ultima IV onward, and all-new creatures created by comic and toy designer Todd McFarlane, Ultima Online: Lord Blackthorn's Revenge looks to bring many of the best features planned for Ultima Online 2 to the original game.

The return of the virtues look to be a major part of the expansion, with players gaining extra abilities based on how well they adhere to the virtues. In addition, it fixes some of the problems with the 3D client introduced in Third Dawn, providing a more stable, faster experience. The expansion also allows players who still choose to use the 2D client to explore the entire world, including the new Third Dawn areas (which were previously unavailable to 2D client users). Ultima Online: Lord Blackthorn's Revenge will be available on February 12th, and will be available for purchase for those with the 2D client or as a patch for those with the 3D client.
