Square Announces 2001 Tokyo Game Show Lineup

Square has come out with their official list of titles which will be appearing at the much-anticipated Tokyo Game Show 2001 Spring. The company will be showcasing four of its upcoming titles, three of them for the Wonderswan Color. Gamers will get to see the progress Square has made on Final Fantasy X, which will doubtless be the centerpiece of Square's display; they have promised more details on the game will be released at the show. Also appearing will be Blue Wing Blitz, Square's upcoming tactical RPG, Wild Card, and the Wonderswan Color remake of Final Fantasy II.

All of the games Square is showcasing are due to be released in the next few months, and the Tokyo Game Show will likely signal the beginning of Final Fantasy X-mania. The Tokyo Game Show is an event staged by CESA (the Computer Entertainment Software Association). It takes place twice a year, and the spring version will run from March 30th, 2001 to April 1st, 2001.
