Final Fantasy IX Composer Confirmed

RPGamers may remember that around the time Final Fantasy 9 was announced, there were rumours circulating that Ryuichi Sakamoto, world famous composer of movies such as "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence" and "The Last Emperor", and also the anime "Wings of Honneamise," would be the new composer for Final Fantasy 9.

It has now finally been confirmed that Nobuo Uematsu, composer of the whole Final Fantasy series, is back on the job. In fact, he is at Square USA headquarters composing for the game as we speak.

This must be good news for many fans of Final Fantasy, for Nobuo Uematsu has been a favorite composer for many, and it would seem as if Final Fantasy 9 would not be a Final Fantasy without his touch.

On a further note, Final Fantasy 9 will be shown at the Tokyo Game Show held from March 31 to April 2. It will be in video form, and not playable. RPGamer will bring you more news on Final Fantasy 9, when Tokyo Game Show begins.
