Hudson's upcoming RPG, Weltorv Estelia will give players a chance rarely seen
in console RPGs. Players will be able to highly customize their character's
physical attributes, including gender, which will alter their appearance on
screen. Also, players can choose the attitude with which the character uses
in conversations, which will affect the story.
Finally, with almost a week gone by since Final Fantasy VIII was release, the
title has reached 2.7 million copies sold, with the majority of those being
pre-orders. However, the title has sold over 500,000 copies to walk-in
customers. A rough estimate placed Final Fantasy 8 in 1 out of every 25 homes
in Japan.
