It's an early update today, since I'm leaving for home mid-afternoon immediately following my last class until Monday. This is both a blessing and a curse, since I can't wait to get the heck out of my apartment, but I can't train my recently-acquired successor to the curatorship: Matt 'RedBeastMage' Foster.
If we coordinated things better, Matt would be here to assist with this update, but as with all things in life, sometimes you just can't get it together.
At this time, I want to thank everyone who applied to replace me. Personally, it was a challenge to reject everyone we did, but I don't think there will be any disappointment in Matt. After all, there's a reason why we had to conduct an extra round of interviews--competition for the position was fierce. Naturally, Matt will introduce himself formally next week, and I can only apologize to him for the fact that I need to do this update so quickly.
Well, with this week, Carlisle has submitted an arrangement of a battle theme from Skies of Arcadia, which, shockingly enough, is the first arrangement for the game hosted on RPGamer. It's nifty, but it actually leaves me wanting more--I wish it was just a little bit longer to give the non-percussion instruments more focus. Good work otherwise, and I expect more from him!
This month's challenge might have proven too challenging to undertake, so for next month, Matt and I will devise a more reasonable challenge.
Oh, I almost forgot (again)! Sound Test now has a designated IRC chatroom on Espernet, #operahouse. Be sure to read the RPGamer IRC guide for more information.
This is my second submission to RPGamer, my first being nearly two years ago. It's a little mix of one of my favorite battle themes, Skies of Arcadia. I hope you all enjoy.
