01.04.02 - Castle of Flames

During the week it got cold outside. Very cold. Now it's warm. Very warm. Curse you, Mother Nature!

This week is catch-up week, so there isn't too many submissions that appear here. Yet, I was pleasantly surprised to find 2 versions of the same NES piece! I couldn't help breaking out the old NES yesterday and playing a few hours of Zelda 2.

Just a reminder, next update's theme is Motoi Sakuraba. While other submissions will be accepted and posted like always, however submissions originally from this composer have a bit more preference. Chief Ug was nice enough to remind me that I forgot to mention how hard some of Sakuraba's pieces are. So there's your warning. Heh heh heh. To give a little more time (since most people are getting back to school and such after the holiday break,) next update will not be for another two weeks.

I'm going to be away from the computer for a week or so, so I won't be able to respond during that time. Sorry folks, my Dad's job has priority in this house. :)

Hopefully, you'll notice the sidebar change. As the pages are revamped, they'll become linked in the New Navigation area, and will be removed from the top. Once that's done, a LARGE portion of the reorganizing will be complete. That is a 'Good Thing'TM.

Until next time!

"The Dream That Will End Soon" (Final Fantasy X) by Trptcox
"For those of you fortunate enough to have a copy of this game, you shouldn't be disappointed. This game has some of the most emotional songs of the entire series aside from FF6. Here's something I whipped up an hour later after finishing the game. Please enjoy and all comments are appreciated."

"Ending Theme Variation" (Super Mario RPG) by Trptcox
"I did this one a few months ago and somehow forgot to post it. I tried to give the brass a back seat until the end and let the harp and strings take over. It is a bit quiet though -- you might need to turn up those speakers. Again, please E-MAIL me if you like this and want me to continue to do as such."

"Palace Theme" (Zelda 2) by Dennis Mott
*deathmetal grunt lyrics so low you cant understand them*
Editor's Note: Although I spent little time listening to this, (it's pretty short) now I have the drive to play it again!

  • Congratulations to Sidhe. She's the first to let me know that "What the Forest Taught Me" is from Secret of Mana. Nice work, Sidhe. Sorry about the Rabites!
