Final Fantasy VII - Windows 95

Eidos Interactive has released Final Fantasy VII for the PC. Sporting improved graphics, and translation fixes, the game excels with a decent 3D card, and a fast Pentium processor. Spells, particularily, are far more impressive than the Playstation version. Backdrops, however, are pixellated, and detract slightly from the experience.

RPGamer's recommendation is that if you already own the Sony Playstation version, skip this title, unless you really want to test out the power of a higher-ended system. For those who haven't played FF7 on the Playstation, this game is one no true RPG fan should miss.

Minimum System Requirements:

  • Windows 95 compatible system
  • Direct X 5.0 (included)
  • Pentium 133 (3D accelerator card required)
  • Pentium 166 (w/out 3D accelerator card)
  • 32 MB RAM
  • 4x CD-ROM
  • DirectX 5.0 compatible sound and video card (AWE64 or XG-MIDI compatible sound recommended)
