by Michael "Macstorm" Cunningham Now that the 3DS is out and Nintendo and other developers are ramping up new games for the new portable, we figured it was time to look back at one of the most successful handheld gaming systems of all time: the Nintendo DS. The DS has been home to many RPGs, so after much debate we narrowed it down to our top ten picks. Using formulas much akin to the convoluted NCAA BCS rankings, RPGamer staff took a list of over 130 DS RPGs and began the process of whittling down the list to our top personal picks. It was a long, grueling two month process, but now it's over and we have our picks. This list is a personal compilation of our staff's favorite RPGs on the DS. We are not claiming these are the best to grace the system, just our personal favorites based on the votes of twenty-seven staff members. As with all lists like this, we don't expect you to agree with all of our picks, as these RPGs don't reflect everyone's personal opinion, just the collective whole.
