Hellgate: London, being published by Namco-Bandai, is an action-RPG for PC systems. It's a surprisingly solid game, and has some interesting features.

Playing from a first or third person perspective, you are basically assigned the arduous task of battling demons on the surface and in the bowels of London, chosen for its architecture that works for the setting. Apparently, hell has broken loose in London. Literally.

Gameplay-wise, you have the usual suspects of stats, status effects, buffs, and such. Your character and enemies have a shield system in place as well to deflect minor damage.

Two characters classes are available: Cabalists, who specialize in spell-casting, and Templars, who are more melee focused. Each can use both melee and ranged weapons and spells, but of course won't be as proficient.

Character appearances are customizable, and a weapon can be equipped in each hand, corresponding to each mouse button. Items are assigned to number keys, and consist of health and power (MP) restoring items, among other things. Armor dropped by enemies is equipped automatically if it is better than the current equipment.

Hellgate: London has a multiplayer component, possibly MMO in nature. It's possible that a console version will be released as well. I'm really interested in it, and it was fun to play.
