Nintendo announced yesterday that they will be releasing an even smaller and shinier Game Boy Advance called the Game Boy Micro. This new version will be 4 inches wide, 2 inches long, and .7 inches deep, and the unit will weigh 2.8 ounces. As for looks, the new Game Boy Micro strongly resembles a shiny NES controller.
The system might be the smallest one yet, but it actually has the most features. It will have a back-lit screen with the ability to change the brightness, and gamers not wanting to disturb others with the noise can rejoice because there will be a headphone jack. Another new feature will be customizable faceplates for people wanting a more personalized gaming experience. There is also talk of Nintendo releasing the Play-Yan media adaptor or the GBA music player when the new Game Boy Micro is released next fall.
