SCREENSHOT
Familiar grounds for FFVII lovers

This mobile title is almost exactly like the snowboarding mini game found in Final Fantasy VII. It is almost a direct rip. Everything is there: the timer, the balloons, the slopes, and the annoying moogle snowmen that always get in the way.

There are three difficulty modes, and the easiest one was hard enough for me. Normally I'm pretty good at snowboarding in FFVII, but my final ratings were always "Bad" and "Awful." Part of the reason is that I'm quite rusty, and the other part is that the controls on the cell phone are difficult to use. While Before Crisis required only one thumb to play, FFVII: Snowboarding seemed to require both thumbs, which don't really fit well together on a cell phone number pad. Pressing 1, 3, 4, and 6 moved Cloud, and another button made him jump.

Final Fantasy VII: Snowboarding seemed like a good game to kill time with on one's cell phone, but most RPGamers wouldn't be interested in it for any other reason.
