We've come upon the final stretch. I've a week to finish my game, and, despite some snags I've had to deal with, I shouldn't have a problem making it. The battle system is complete, although the version linked here doesn't yet have the official battle background. I wish I had more to show off today, but I've been wrestling with those aforementioned snags for the past day and a half and don't have anything quite ready for public consumption.
However, I won't leave you further empty-handed for a full week. I'll mail Google a couple times this week with links to early versions of the assembled game, and I'll post the final version next Monday. And then, that Tuesday, I drive to San Jose for the Game Developers Conference.

Ok, this is a really ignorant question, but where on the page is the quote that everyone guesses at the next day? I've been reading for a long time and I can't seem to find it. Thanks!

I can understand why you're confused, and also, please take solace in the fact that you're far from the only one. Just today I got a quote guess for someone else's quote.
Pay attention, folks:
Google, Chesh, and I all have different quotes for readers to guess.
- Since Goog is the most prominent Q&A writer, Goog's quote is on the title bar of the RPGamer main page.
- Chesh's quote is in quotation marks in the middle of his email address at the near bottom of each of his Q&A pages.
- Finally, and perhaps most importantly, my quote is at the near top of my Q&A page in the same dark grey box as the big "Letters with Aegis," to the right of the date.

Oi! I'm just wondering about this new deal with Nintendo an Square...specifically, I'm wondering whether its possible that Super Mario RPG could be ported to GBA. Rather, I'm wondering whether the GBA is physically capable of running such a game, since the graphics were alot different then most SNES games. Thanks! - Jizm

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, with the exception of sound/music capabilities, the GBA is a superior piece of hardware to the SNES in every way. So yes, the GBA is certainly physically capable of running Super Mario RPG, and it's actually a plausible possibility now that Square and Nintendo are back in business, so to speak.

You never seem to get many letters, so here you go.
1. What is a good rhythm game for someone who's never played one?
Aegis:
Hrmm. Well, if you're just starting out, I'd probably suggest a controller-only game before a special peripheral-using game such as Dance Dance Revolution. If you have a Dreamcast, I'd highly recommend Space Channel 5. It's good, and though it might be a bit difficult for beginners, you can find it for $10 new in most places that still sell DC games. If you have a PS2, Frequency, Parappa the Rapper 2, and Gitaroo Man are all great, but they're all $50, so you prolly oughta rent first.

2. Which RPGamer.com staff member was quoted on the back of Shadow Hearts?

3. Now that Nintendo and Square are buddy-buddy again, which of Square's games would you like to see ported to the GBA or Cube?
Aegis:
In a perfect world, we'd see visually updated versions of Final Fantasies 7 through 9 and ports of FFX and FFXI on the 'Cube, and just about all their SNES stuff on the GBA, including stuff never released here, such as the almighty Seiken Densetsu 3.

Someone tell the news flunkies to wake up and get to work. Gamespot Japan has announced FFT for the Gameboy Advanced and RPGamer doesn't have anything about it. At least they don't as I write this.

Well, see, as of right now, from what I've seen, that's just a rumor. And since RPGamer only posts news and not rumors, that's why there's no mention of it on our front page. If it's officially announced, we'll do a story on it.
